Light Doodles | Sprint

[ English ]
If you are in the U.S. you probably seen the sprint commercial with the light animations produced by Brickyard VFX. While the end results are fantastic, I wonder if projects like Pika Pika (see previous entry) get any credit for this, its seems to be the never ending story of the small independent project inspiring a large corporation that takes the concept to the masses and calls it self cutting edge and experimental. Watch the spot below, and the behind the scenes below it.

Thanks pejee!
I actually know about Pisplab and that specific project still today, blows me away! Great work.

Picasso was also using the technique as well, I just think that this specific campaing looks too similar to Pika pika's project.
It was never my intention to suggest that they (Pika Pika) originated light drawing of course! :)

yes. pika pika were not commissioned by sprint at all. sprint did approach and ask them how to do it. it's not so much that pika pika invented the technique, it's the communal aspect sprint applied to the commercial and how it was made with recruited artists/illustrators to "draw" that irks them.
