Currently based in LA, ecin (AKA: ben Guerrette) has been producing and performing live visual content for more than 5 years. As a DJ first with influences in graffiti and urban culture, VJ'ing was a natural progression. His mixing style is a contrast of noisy video imagery layered with linear vector animations and code generated content. Performances include collaboration with live musicians & performers, providing visuals for club nights and festivals to producing video installations and short films.

Here some photos from last Brokenbeat night, our guest visualist for the evening was VJ RASTER , and I was very impressed with her work, Its was great to have her, and I look forward for her to join us again, very soon!. We also came up with a different visual set up for the venue, and I was able to use a very large TV that is always sitting there. I was able to shoot a bit of video of her set for Alien Tom, again, my camera is very crappy but I think its a good idea to document a bit of every the night.

Aqui las fotos del ultimo Brokenbeat, nuestra VJ invitada fue RASTER , I en realidad quede muy impresionado con su trabajo, fue muy bueno que haya venido y espero que pronto nos vuelva a acompanar. Entre los dos cambiamos un poco el set up de las visuales, y pude conectar una tele gigante que hay en el fondo y que siempre esta apagada, quedo muy bueno. Pude filmar un poco del set de ella con Alien Tom, my camara no es muy buena pero creo que es buena idea documentar fragmentos de la noche.

Here is a little preview of a project I'm shooting/ directing for an A/V gig with Dub Traffik Control , The idea is to collect scenes that could belong in a movie to incorporate (and trigger / mix live) to the music. Different costumes, different locations and situations. More info soon!
