His last album Audible Life Stream focused on dark funky Psytrance centered around 144 bpm.

Brokenbeat May 2007 | Recap

A little late, but here are some photos and video of the last Brokenbeat night. the guest visual artist of the month was none other than Ecin from Los Angeles. I had the chance to vj with him before a few years ago and I had a blast, we repeated the tag-team visuals, but this time I was able to learn a bit more about his visuals. Most of his content is produced in vector format (flash) sometimes tweening animation and others actionscript based animation. Some very original stuff, you can check on the video below, I recorded a bit of his set while he was doing visuals for Fwdthought and Disrupter. Enjoy!

Un poco tarde pero aqui posteo un par de fotos del pasado Brokenbeat donde tuvimos de Vj invitado a Ecin de Los Angeles. Tube la oportunidad de hacer visuales junto a el unos anos atras, y pudimos repetir la experiencia, pero esta vez aprendi un poco mas sobre su trabajo, por ejemplo la mayoria de su contenido es producido en Flash, algunas cosas con tweening y otras con codigo actionscript. Algo bastante original pueden ver en el video de abajo, pude grabar un poco de su set mientras musicalizaban los locales Fwdthought y Disrupter.

Julius Popp, an interactive artist from Leipzig, Germany, has developed a technological device to make a waterfall of a liquid screen. Each drop of water is a falling pixel. This technology also allows big three dimensional installations to permit various uses of this work in such areas as those of publicity and the commercial events. He Explains more about it, in this short documentary.

Esta tecnologia tambien permite el uso de graficos en 3D, lo que lo convierte en algo util para areas como publicidad y eventos comerciales. El mismo artista explica un poco mas sobre el proyecto en este documental.

DTC has the honor of opening for reggae legend DON CARLOS and local roots darlings THE DEVASTATORS . One of the original memebrs of Black Uhuru, Don Carlos' distinctive vocal styling and storytelling is reason alone to catch this old soul's blessings.

San Diego roots massive represented by the The Devastators. Dub Traffik sets the night off right with visuals from VJ Shikaku. Bobbing and weaving between sets is DJ Eddie Turbo playing all the Dub Dynamite hitz.

Crosswired Day1 | Recap

Some photos from Crosswired's opening night. I also got some video of Jarrett Smith's visuals, The audio is very crappy, sorry about that (I was standing right next to the speakers) Other than that, it was a great night. I started my set late, so by the time I was just getting into that creative zone, the event was over. I wish it was longer!! I'm going to try making it up there again, to see another vjs. Remember this is going on till May11th!!.

Algunas fotos de la noche de apertura de Crosswired. Tambien pude tomar video del set de Jarrett Smith, pero el sonido es bastante malo, pido disculpas pero estaba parado justo al lado de los parlantes. Fuera de eso fue muy buena noche, empece mi set tarde por lo que cuando empezaba a adentrarme en esa zona creativa, el evento termino, hubiera querido que fuera un poco mas largo. Voy a ver si puedo mandarme de nuevo para alla a ver a otros Vjs. Recuerden que esto sigue hasta el 11 de Mayo.
