Modul8 v2.6 Public Beta released today, among other improvements we see, Blend Modes, Sound Analysis, 4 Camera Imputs.
This public beta is free for testing to all registered users and will expire on 30.09.2009.
The final release will be a paid upgrade of 49 euros. For users who purchased modul8 within the last year the upgrade is free.

Video Objects | Whitevoid

Video Objects" is a custom software to perspectively distort video content in realtime. The pre-distorted videos are projected from one video projector onto multiple real world threedimensional objects. The resulting projected imagery seems to be sticking on the surfaces of the objects. The source videos can be adjusted to the respective objects on the spot with a projected helper grid or an imported 3D model of the real world setup. Once the system is aligned the projected videos can be exchanged in realtime by drag and drop in a VJ-like manner.

Video Objects es un software que distorciona video en perspectiva en tiempo real. Los videos pre=distorcionados son proyectados desde un unico proyector en varios objetos tridimensionales reales. La proyeccion pareciera pegarse en las superficies de estos objetos. Y lo mas importante, los videos fuente pueden ser ajustados a los respectivos objetos en el lugar, con una guia proyectada sobre este, o importada de un modelo 3d del objeto a proyectar.

Photosynth | Microsoft

Ever wondered what it would be like to walk through your digital photos in 3D or see what hundreds of other people shot at the same location? Photosynth takes a large collection of photos of a place or object, analyzes them for similarities, and displays them in a reconstructed 3-Dimensional space.

Photosynth toma una gran coleccion de fotos de un lugar o un objeto, las analiza para encontrar similitudes y luego las re construye en un espacio tridimensional.

Interchange | Kosma

Interchange is an audiovisual piece, created by Wojceich Kosma, controlled by the Playstation Portable gaming device. The player performs some composed graph score consisting of 98 boxes. Each box represents a note and a shape. The number inside the box is a pitch/length of loop. The player is free to choose any box and make any rhythmical entrance.

Interchange es una pieza audiovisual creada por Wojceich Kosma, que es controlada por el Playstation Portable. El usuario (o jugador?) controla algunos de los elementros en una tabla grafica que consiste en 98 celdas. Cada celda representa una nota y una forma. El numero dentro de la celda indica el pitch / duracion del loop. El usuario es libre de elejir cualquier celda y cambiar sus algoritmos.

V-Scratch

Following a similar concept to Visual Scratch, V-Sratch achieves similar results by using an optical mouse set on the paper, in the middle of the record' to read and translate the variations of speed, audio spectrum and volume. In addition of the sound aspect (volume and frequences) into visual patterns.

The Guys at XPLSV don't stop, I just got an email from David Domingo, letting us know that they just did a public public release of their custom VJ application, Neon V2 (beta). His creator, Jordi Ros, also opened a forum, to have bug reports an questions answered by the man himself. Thanks for sharing!.

Some of the features include: MIDI support, Live video capture (beta), Video set recordings and more.
Unfortunately for me, this is a PC version only at the moment. For the rest of us MAC users, you should check this post by Momo the Monster.

Los chicos de XPLSV no paran un segundo!. Acabo de recibir un email de David Domingo, diciendo que acaban de hacer un release publico de su aplicacion VJ, Neon V2 Neon V2 (beta).
Su creador, Jordi Ros ademas abrio un forum para reportar bugs y contestar preguntas. Gracias por compartirlo!

Algunas de losfeatures de la aplicacion incluyen: Soporte MIDI, Captura de video en directo (beta), posibilidad de grabar los sets, y otras mas.

Lamentablemente para mi, este soft es solor para PC users por ahora, Para el resto de los maqueros tal vez deberian de checkar este post reciente de Momo the Monster.

For their project The Interactive Plant Growing, they designed interfaces between vegetal and device-related systems, between man and machine, is one of the greatest challenges of interactive technology. Scrambled Hackz es una aplicacion que hace esto posible a travez de previa grabacion de samples audio visuales que seran separados por el software en forma similar al proceso que utilizan los samplers de frase tradicionales, pero optimizado para su uso en tiempo real.

Quartz Composer by Momo

I just came across with Surya's experiments in Quartz Composer.
This is a technology I have not had time to dive into myself, as I can't seem to make it work on my computer for some reason, but looks very nice. Cityscape, Pixel invaders and Ribbon cube are some of my favorites, really nice work!
He is also kind enough to share his source files, for people to download and learn.

Futurismo Zugakousaku

Among the excellent collection of animatable generators and screensavers displayed on his website, Zuga s Quartz Composer samples are beautiful. If you are running OS X (Tiger) you can download any of his Quartz Composer (QTZ) files and drop them in your User/ Library/ Screen Saver/ folder, then select them under System Preferences as a screen saver.
